"My team, Nuwater/CTM, missed two Aca Joe Pro Classic Series events due to upcountry event commitments, so that meant that we fell behind in the team competition and Jaco Venter, one of our team members,  lost his individual lead to Stefan Ihlenfeldt from the Smith & Associates Team. We were determine to "get back in the game" and see if we could regain our lead. Our race tactics where simple, attack and attack again until the winning break is away, so that's what we did! My team mates set it up nicely for me, I tried my luck at 13km to go and it worked, I was in the break! Although teams RSAWeb, Smith & Associates and Daiken GU was chasing us all the way, my team mates Shaun Ward, Anthon Wynand, Jaco Venter, Theuns van der Bank and Evan Carstens, softened up the bunch nicely so there were lots of tired legs and I could stay away for the win!!! Team Nuwater/CTM, what a team!"
